Childcare Choice

Childcare Choice offers a subsidy to help currently enrolled University of Arizona students cover qualifying, coursework-related childcare expenses within the United States.

  • Eligibility requirements:
    • Students must be currently enrolled at UA, either part-time or full-time.
    • Students must demonstrate financial need and have childcare expenses directly related to their coursework.
    • Eligible dependents include legal, dependent children between birth and 12 years old.
    • All eligible students must submit a new application each fiscal year.

Back-Up Care 

Back-Up Care provides up to 80 hours of backup care for dependents and qualifying relatives of University of Arizona students when there is an unexpected interruption in regular school and/or care arrangements.

  • Eligibility requirements:
    • Students must be enrolled part-time or full-time at the University of Arizona.
    • Backup care can only be used on days with coursework-related commitments.
    • Dependents or qualifying relatives must meet IRS Publication 501 criteria.
    • Students must re-enroll in the program each year and complete Bright Horizons registration.
